Something like this has probably been suggested before, in one form or another.

When a Tester test has been started, ActTrader internally downloads the historical data from the Broker... data that will be used in the test. When the test is finished, the internally downloaded historical data - the open rate, high rate, low rate and close rate for each period in the test - is discarded. It can't be used over. Not even once.

If the Trader wants to make minor adjustments to the Strategy settings and rerun the test, without closing and re-opening the Strategy, the Tester needs to internally download the historical data from the Broker again. This uses time and bandwidth, and the historical data may have changed slightly since the last download so that the test results are slightly different.

Would it be difficult to add the option to rerun the test on the already-downloaded historical data, or to request new historical data for the new run?

All historical data would be deleted when the ActForex program or the Strategy performing the test was closed down, as usual.
