It has been said more than once that the ActTrader Tester results are often quite different than Demo and Live. And that, even though Demo is different than Live, it is much more similar to Live than Tester is.

Seems to me that when I signed up for a Live account with my broker, I lost my Demo capabilities with that broker. Do brokers offer Demos to their Live customers to practice with at the same time they have a live account? If they don't, we could sign up for a Demo with our own brokers using an assumed name, address, phone, email address and a proxy IP, right?

Since ActTrader charts run ongoing whenever the system is up and running and connected to the Internet, is there a way that we could have a "switch" in the tester to make it act like a Demo? Having a Demo running in our live account could give us far more accurate results than the Tester, and without putting our funds at risk until we were sure of the Strategy we are using.

This shouldn't be too hard to do since the feed is active anyway just to make our charts work.
