I'm a big fan of ActFx but have to say that MetaTrader uses far less memory and hasn't crashed on me once. Perhaps I'm stretching ActFx to the limit but I've got more charts and indicators running in MetaTrader and it uses 1/4 of the memory, no crashes. (fingers crossed)
Would be nice to see ActFx reduce the memory footprint.

Correction, ActFx takes 8 times as much memory. 240MB+ and MetaTrader takes 30MB memory and the kicker is that I have twice as many charts open in MetaTrader and far many more indicators. Would love to see ActFx work out these kinks, such a great platform.

Looks like tabbed windows are the culprit. They eat up TONS of memory.

With all the new features I'm starting to see ActFx becoming very strong competition for MetaTrader. The only big difference I can see now is the email capabilities that MetaTrader 4 has. Outside of that ActFx is easier to use, mind you there are more indicators and strategies available for Metatrader but lets face it... most indicators are lagging indicators all indicating the same data...
The way I see it, email is the biggest improvement that ActFx can add. Simple smtp.

Well ActFx has reverted back to hogging memory...
It uses ALOT of memory. So much I have been dead in the water, unable to trade
But I've been using Metatrader for a few weeks now and love it! No crashes, no system slow down, no annoying error messages and reboots. PLUS I'm doing 10 times as much, have more charts open, more indicators, more strategies.
