I also had a Live Trade in progress, completely separate from the Tester test, of course.

While the test was proceeding, I decided to close the Live Trade manually. I went to the "Open Positions" window, and proceeded to click on the "Close" link in the Live Trade. The Close went through, and my Live Trade was closed manually without any problems.

All the while that I was closing the Live Trade, the Tester test was running.

In the OnTradeChange procedure in my Strategy being tested, I have placed a method to Log trades that the are closed in the test. Well, the Live Trade that I closed manually got recorded in the Log of the Tester test. Yet it didn't show up in the "Closed Position" tab of the test.

I have a Martingale-style multiplier working in the OnTradeChange procedure in the Strategy being tested. A loss occurred because of the manual Live Close that I did. This loss activated the test multiplier and threw off my Tester test. I had thought that the Tester tests were completely separate from the live Runs. Am I mistaken about this? Or is there some kind of a bug in the program?

:)

RE: Live / Test bug

Dear Black,

Procedure OnTradeChange is executed every time when any of your trades is modified. So it is normal when some real positions are closed while your strategy is running in the Testing mode To avoid such a situation, as well as influence of another strategy, we suggest using unique tag property in each of your strategies.A simple check will help you to define if current position has been created by one of your strategies or manually. In this case you can select the positions that you need in the strategy.
